San Antonio, Texas – Peña Aleczander is proud to announce that David Ortega, a former staff member and recipient of the firm’s NexGen Pinnacle Award scholarship, has successfully completed his first year at St. Mary’s School of Law. Ortega began his journey with the firm in 2019. Along the way he has demonstrated exceptional dedication and ambition, working closely with Trial Attorney Jaime Peña. In 2022 Ortega made the decision to pursue a career in law.
After completing his bachelor's degree and taking the LSAT, Ortega was admitted to St. Mary's School of Law in June 2023, a significant milestone that marked the beginning of his formal legal education.
Reflecting on his first year, Ortega expressed profound gratitude for the support and mentorship he received from Peña Aleczander. “The rigors of 1L can be overwhelming, but thankfully I was able to orient myself using the frameworks and visual mapping techniques I learned from Mr. Peña,”Ortega stated. It seems his time at Peña Aleczander provided him with the tools and background that have been crucial to his studies in law school.
